Oklahoma Football Offers Brock Purdy’s Brother, Chubba, a Scholarship

The Oklahoma Sooners could end up with a Purdy of their own at quarterback. Brock Purdy, the longtime Iowa State Cyclones QB, is done with his college career, but his brother now has a chance to continue that family tradition at another Big 12 school.
Chubba Purdy, who entered the transfer portal after two seasons at Florida State, announced on Sunday he has received an offer from the Sooners.
Chubba Purdy is a former four-star quarterback as part of the Class of 2020. He announced back on November he would be entering the transfer portal.
Purdy was rated nation’s No. 6 dual-threat quarterback and No. 8 overall prospect in Arizona by 247Sports. In two seasons at the high school level, he produced 9,000 yards of total offense and 111 touchdowns. He was named Arizona Offensive High School Player of the Year as a senior and helped lead Perry to quarterfinals of 6A state playoffs.
Oklahoma has been scrambling for answers at quarterback since stud freshman Caleb Williams entered the transfer portal last week.
While Williams can still return to Oklahoma, it seems unlikely he will at this point. The Sooners have already picked up UCF transfer Dillon Gabriel, who they flipped from UCLA. Gabriel played for the new OU offensive coordinator Jeff Lebby during his time with the Golden Knights.
