Oklahoma State DL Brendon Evers Announces Return in 2022

After a string of defensive players announced their departure from Oklahoma State in the days following a Fiesta Bowl win over Notre Dame, Brendon Evers finally gives the Cowboys some good news.
The 6″2′ 295-pound defensive tackle from Bixby has announced that he is coming back to play for Mike Gundy again next season.
This is a sight for sore eyes for Cowboy Nation, seeing as how they have lost two of their top defensive linemen from 2021, with Israel Antwine declaring for the 2022 NFL Draft and Jayden Jernigan transferring to Missouri.
Here is his announcement via Twitter on Friday afternoon.
“Cowboy Nation, these last few years have been some of the best of my life and I want to thank every single person who has had a hand in this journey. But, I’m not ready for this journey to end just yet…
“After much consideration, I feel that there is still some unfinished business left in Stillwater for me.
“That being said… I will be back for the 2022 season! Go Pokes!”
Evers will anchor the defensive line for the Pokes in 2022 after recording 21 tackles and three sacks in 11 appearances in 2021. OSU is also in play for Tulsa transfer Jaxon Player, who would be a huge addition for the Cowboys if he decides to make Stillwater his home in 2022. Expect Gundy and company to push hard for Player and others in the portal after losing much of their talent on the 2021 defense.
