TCU Pushes Big 12 Men to 8-Bid League in Latest Bracketology

TCU’s 2-0 week led to the Horned Frogs giving the Big 12 eight bids in the most NCAA Tournament Bracketology published by ESPN’s Joe Lunardi on Tuesday.
TCU has spent the past few weeks on the outside looking in when it comes to the Tournament. In Lunardi’s last updated on Friday, the Horned Frogs were the third team out of the Tournament.
After wins over Kansas State and Oklahoma, the latter of which is included in the 68-team field, Lunardi believes that if the Tournament started today, TCU would be in.
With the Horned Frogs included, the Big 12 now has more bids than any other conference in this 68-team updated.
Other takeaways:
Baylor’s two-game losing streak cost the Bears the No. 1 overall seed. Auburn is now the No. 1 overall seed. But, the Bears remain a No. 1 seed in a bracket.
After moving down a seed line last Friday, Iowa State moved up a seed line, likely off its win over Texas.
After moving up to No. 3 in the Friday update, Texas Tech dropped a spot to a No. 4 seed. West Virginia also dropped a seed to No. 9
Future Big 12 members BYU and Houston are solidly in the field. UCF was on the bubble in the Friday update, but they are not among the first eight teams out in Tuesday’s update.
