Six Future Big 12 Players on McDonald’s All-American Roster

NCAA Basketball: Oklahoma State at Texas Tech

Baylor’s Keyonte George headlines the six future Big 12 men’s players named to the 2022 McDonald’s All-American Game roster on Tuesday.

The 24 players selected for the game are among the highest-recruited players in the country, and only one has not signed with a college for the 2022-23 season.

George, who plays for IMG Academy in Bradenton, Florida, is the No. 4 overall recruit in the country, as rated by 247Sports.com. He, like the other five future Big 12 players on the roster, signed in November.

George is Baylor’s only recruit on the roster. But Kansas — which leads the Big 12 and is coming off a thrilling double-overtime win over Texas Tech on Monday — has three of its four recruits on the roster.

That includes three Top 30 prospects — Gradey Dick of Sunrise Christian Academy in Wichita, Kansas; MJ Rice of Prolific Prep in Napa, California; and Ernest Udeh Jr. of Dr. Phillips High School in Orlando, Florida. The trio is part of the No. 1 recruiting class in the Big 12 and the No. 4 class in the country.

Texas has the other two future Big 12 players in the field. Dillon Mitchell of Montverde Academy in Montverde, Florida, and Arterio Morris of Kimball High in Dallas, Texas, are both considered Top 20 players.

The 2020 and 2021 games were not held due to the COVID-19 pandemic. This year’s game is set for March 28 in Chicago.
