Three-Star RB Ky Woods Commits to Texas Longhorns
The Texas Longhorns have beefed up the backfield for the 2022 Class by adding three-star running back Ky Woods.
Woods made his announcement on Twitter on Friday afternoon.
Woods is a Clear Springs, Texas running back who is rated as a three-star prospect by 247Sports. Wood stands at 5’9” and 184 pounds.
According to his MaxPreps page, Woods finished his senior season with 877 total yards, good for 6.6 yards per carry, along with 11 touchdowns.
The Texas Longhorns are ranked in the Top 5 in recruiting classes for 2022, according to 247Sports, and have nearly 30 recruits committed in this class. The star running back of this class is Jaydon Blue. Blue is from Houston, Texas and is considered a Top 200 prospect nationally and a Top 15 running back in the nation.
Texas is coming off a 5-7 season in Steve Sarkisian’s first in Austin and they’ll try to build on it in 2022.
