Texas Tech Fans Are Already Lining Up For Texas Game on Tuesday

NCAA Basketball: West Virginia at Texas Tech

Texas Tech basketball’s big win over Mississippi State was just hours old when Red Raiders fans began lining up for Tuesday night’s home match up against the Texas, which of course is Chris Beard’s first trip back to Lubbock since leaving for the Longhorns last spring.

Here’s what it looked like outside of the United Super Markets Arena in a video shared by the Texas Tech Basketball Twitter account.

This should be one of the best environments in college basketball this season (if not the best), and we know that Texas Tech, after a double OT loss to Kansas on Monday and the win over Mississippi State, will still be ranked in the Top 25. Meantime, Texas may find itself back in the Top 25 after a solid week that included a blowout win of TCU and a solid victory over No. 18 Tennessee on Saturday in the Big 12-SEC Challenge.

So if there was any doubt that the Red Raiders faithful were about to show up in one of the most epic environments in college basketball, possibly this decade, they put that to rest on Saturday night as fans are already fired up.

Oh, and if you’re wondering about the Lubbock weather: these fans have lucked out. The high temperature on Sunday and Monday is mid-60’s and sunny, with lows in the 30’s. It’s all coming together for an incredible Tuesday night.
