Ochai Agbaji, James Akinjo On Wooden Men’s Top 20 List

Ochai Agbaji and James Akinjo are the two Big 12 players named to the Wooden Award Late Season Top 20 Watch List, which was released on Monday.
Agbaji is looking to become the third Jayhawk to win the Wooden Award, joining Danny Manning (1988) and Frank Mason III (2017).
Agbaji leads the Big 12 and is 12th nationally in scoring at 20.9 points per game. He is second in the league in three-point field goal percentage (46.4, 10th nationally) and in three-point field goals made per game (3.2). Agbaji has scored 20 or more points in 12 games this season, including a career-high 37 points in Kansas double-overtime win against No. 13 Texas Tech on Jan. 24.
Akinjo leads the Big 12 with 5.7 assists per game, which is also 17th nationally. He is also second in the Big 12 in steals with 2.2 per game and 11th in scoring with 12.9 points per game.
Akinjo was named Big 12 Player of the Week on Jan. 3 after averaging 21.5 points, six assists, three rebounds and 2.5 steals in wins at No. 10 Iowa State and against Northwestern State.
