Oklahoma State Adds Three-Star OL to 2022 Class

NCAA Football: Oklahoma State at Central Michigan

Oklahoma State added to its current recruiting class on Monday morning, with three-star offensive lineman Davis Dotson committing to the Cowboys.

Dotson, a native of Berryhill High School near Tulsa, Oklahoma, stands at nearly 6’6″ and 290-pounds and has the size to contribute right away in Stillwater. If he can put a little weight in the offseason and pick up the offensive quickly, Dotson could see some playing time in the 2022 season, even if it is sparingly.

Dotson announced his decision to play in Stillwater on Twitter Monday morning, just two days ahead of National Signing Day.

“First off I want to give all [the] glory to God in everything I do. I want to thank Berryhill High School for allowing me to play the sport that I love. I want to thank all of my coaches for pushing me to be the best player that I can be. I want to Coach Pat Harper personally for making me the best player and man that I can be. I want to thank my family for always being there for me during everything and especially these last few months of recruitment. They have been my foundation.

“With that being said, I want to announce my commitment to stay in-state and play for Oklahoma State University! I want to thank the coaches and staff at OSU for giving me the chance to continue my academics and play the sport that I love.”

Dotson’s commitment brings Oklahoma State’s 2022 class up to 18 members, ranking third in the Big 12 and 29th nationally. He chose Oklahoma State over several other schools, including Arizona State, TCU, Texas Tech, Kansas State, and Iowa State.
