West Virginia Spring Football Game Scheduled For April 23rd

West Virginia has set the date for its annual Gold-Blue Spring Football Game. The game has been scheduled for 1:00 p.m. on April 23rd at Mountaineer Field at Milan Puskar Stadium, according to the official news release from the university.
This spring game will be Mountaineers’ fans’ chance to get a look at freshman quarterback Nicco Marchiol who was an early enrollee back in December. The four-star signal-caller will likely be thrown into the fire after incumbent starter Jarret Doege transferred to Western Kentucky after the 2021 season.
It will also be the first time that new offensive coordinator Graham Harrell’s offensive scheme is on display. Harrell’s name has been synonymous with high-flying offense since his days as Texas Tech’s quarterback during the Mike Leach era.
University officials also announced that the Athletics Department will be holding its Mountaineer gear sale alongside the spring game.
If you would like to attend the game, tickets are available for purchase in advance for $10 at WVUGAME.com or by calling 1-800-WVUGAME. Students will be admitted for free by using the same ticketing process that is used for regular-season games.
