Oklahoma has a new wide receiver commitment for the 2023 class.
Four-star receiver Austin Cozart made his commitment known via Twitter on Friday.
Cozart’s commitment comes less than a week after Oklahoma’s 2023 class took a blow when four-star receiver DeAndre Moore decommitted.
Cozart is the No. 166 ranked recruit nationally, the No. 24 receiver and No.31 player in Texas, according to the 247Sports Composite rankings.
The Flower Mound, Texas native from Marcus High School was hoping to commit back in November, but the departure of former head coach Lincoln Riley caused Cozart to rethink things.
The 6-foot-3, 190-pound receiver chose Oklahoma over offers from Alabama, Texas, Texas A&M, TCU and Miami.
He is coming off his junior season in 2021, where he caught 36 passes for 680 yards and eleven touchdowns, while also being named 6-6A First Team All-District.
Cozart joins four-star quarterback Jackson Arnold, three-star offensive lineman Joshua Bates and three-star running back Erick McCarty in Oklahoma’s 2023 commitment class.
