Now that National Signing Day is over and the recruiting classes have been set, the next thing for college football fans to get excited about is spring football, when we start to get our first look at next season’s team.
For the Texas Longhorns, Chris Del Conte said in an interview this week with the Longhorn Network that the spring game will take place on Saturday, April 23rd at 6:00 p.m.
Aside from the game, there will be fan experiences during “Made in Austin Weekend” from April 22 to April 24, including live music, specialty food and beverage offerings and live art installations. Texas Athletics said all activities surrounding the Orange-White game are free admission.
Texas is coming off a 5-7 record in the 2021 season, which featured a six-game losing streak in Steve Sarkisian’s first year in Austin. The six-game skid was the longest losing streak since the 1957 season.
The game will be fans’ first look at some of the new faces, including former five-star quarterback prospect Quinn Ewers.
