Jordan Lewis on Nancy Lieberman Award Late-Season Watch List

Baylor guard Jordan Lewis is the only Big 12 players on the Nancy Lieberman Point Guard of the Year Award late-season watch list released on Monday.
Lewis, a super-senior who played last year at Alabama before transferring to the Bears, recently became the third women’s player in Baylor history to record a triple-double, which came against West Virginia.
As of Monday, Lewis is second in the Big 12 with a 2.17 assist-to-turnover ratio and third in the league with 5.2 assists per game. Lewis is No. 15 in the nation among active Division I players with 1,832 career points and second with 625 career assists. She leads the country with 152 career games played.
The last Big 12 player to win this award was Baylor guard Odyssey Sims in 2014.
The Lieberman Point Guard of the Year Award is named after the Hall of Fame guard, who went blazed a trail for women’s basketball as the first woman to play in a men’s professional league when she joined the Springfield Fame in the USBL in 1986. She had a stellar career at Old Dominion, where she led the Lady Monarchs to a 125-15 record, 1 WNIT Title and back-to-back National Championships in 1979 and 1980.
