Oklahoma’s Madi Williams is Big 12 Women’s Player of the Week

Oklahoma’s Madi Williams is the Big 12 Women’s Basketball Player of the Week after leading the Sooners to a pair of victories last week.
In addition, Kansas State’s Brylee Glenn was named the Big 12 Women’s Freshman of the Week.
This is the first time this season that Williams has been named the Big 12 Player of the Week, and it comes as the Sooners are now ranked No. 12 in the country after beating Baylor and West Virginia last week.
This is the third time Glenn has been named the Big 12 Freshman of the Week, matching her teammate, Serena Sundell, and Texas guard Rori Harmon. Glenn’s sister, Jaelyn Glenn, has earned the award once this season.
Williams averaged 21 points, 8.5 rebounds, 3.5 assists and 2.5 steals in two Oklahoma wins. She hit the game winner with nine seconds left in double-overtime against West Virginia and had the assist on Liz Scott’s game-winning basket against Baylor.
Glenn averaged 16.5 points, three assists and two steals last week. She had a career-high 19 points against then-No. 11 Iowa State, 17 of which came in the fourth quarter, adding in four rebounds, two assists and two steals in the game. In K-State’s 82-75 win against Texas Tech, she scored 14 points with four assists and two steals.
