Taylor Robertson of Oklahoma women's basketball

Oklahoma guard Taylor Robertson is the only Big 12 player selected on the Ann Meyers Drysdale Shooting Guard of the Year Award Top 10 watch list on Tuesday.

Robertson is the Oklahoma and Big 12 record-holder for most career 3-pointers, milestones she achieved this season. This is the second time she’s been on the Drysdale Top 10 list.

Robertson averages 18.0 points, 4.5 rebounds and 3.5 assists per game. She’s the second-best 3-point shooter in the country by percentage (46.8) and she leads the nation in made 3-pointers per game (4.09). At the free throw line, Robertson shoots 94.9 percent, third best in the country, and her 92.3 career percentage is best among all women’s players.

Robertson is eighth all-time in OU scoring and is one of three players to reach 1,000 career points in just two seasons (Courtney Paris and Aaryn Ellenberg).

The Meyers Drysdale Shooting Guard of the Year Award is named after the first player, male or female, named to an All-America team in four straight seasons and who was named Player of the Year during her senior year at UCLA. While still at UCLA, she started on the first women’s Olympic team in 1976. After an All-America career, she became the first player drafted into the Women’s Basketball League, earning WBL MVP and making history by becoming the first female player to tryout with an NBA team, the Indiana Pacers, with whom she signed a free agent contract.
