Kansas State and Oklahoma Remain On NCAA Bracketology Bubble

The Kanas State Wildcats and the Oklahoma Sooners are on the bubble in the latest NCAA Bracketology at ESPN, as both would be out of the 68-team field as of Tuesday.
That’s notable because for most of the season there have been at least seven Big 12 teams in Joe Lunardi’s 68-team bracket at ESPN. By removing the Sooners from the field — where they’ve been since January — the Big 12 is down to six selections.
On Monday, DRatings.com had three Big 12 teams in its NIT Bracketology, including Oklahoma and Kansas State.
The Sooners are one of the ‘First Four Out’ of the field, and their next game is against Texas Tech on Tuesday. The Sooners have lost six of their last seven games and are just one game over .500 overall.
The Wildcats are one of the ‘Next Four Out,’ and like the Sooners, the Wildcats have a chance to claim a big win on Tuesday when they face the Kansas Jayhawks. Kansas head coach Bill Self believes the Wildcats have a case to make the field.
Meanwhile, TCU’s win over West Virginia on Monday seemed to solidify their place in the field for now. But the Horned Frogs have a gauntlet ahead, with their next four games against ranked teams.
Selection Sunday is on March 13.
Other takeaways:
Moving up: Baylor moved up to a No. 2 seed after its win over Oklahoma State on Monday. Iowa State moved up to a No. 8 seed after a 2-0 week.
Moving down: Texas dropped to a No. 5 seed after falling to Texas Tech on Saturday.
Holding steady: Kansas remained a No. 1 seed. Texas Tech remained a No. 2 seed. TCU remained a No. 10 seed.
