Kansas, Baylor Both on No. 1 Seed Line in NCAA Bracketology
The Kansas Jayhawks and the Baylor Bears are both on the No. 1 seed line in the latest NCAA Bracketology at ESPN, which was released on Tuesday.
That means that Kansas’ loss to Baylor on Saturday didn’t cost the Jayhawks much in seeding, as Joe Lunardi had Kansas as a No. 1 in his last bracketology. Baylor maintained its No. 1 seed line with the victory, along with the Bears’ win over Texas on Monday night.
After the most discombobulating Saturday in college basketball history — each of the Top 6 teams in the AP poll lost on the same day — Gonzaga and Arizona were the other two No. 1 seeds.
The Big 12 held steady with six bids to the tournament, with no teams on the bubble. The Big 12 didn’t have any teams on the outside looking in either.
The only team to move up or down was TCU, which moved up to a No. 9 seed after its victory over Texas Tech on Saturday. The Horned Frogs have three games left this week, starting with a Tuesday contest against Kansas.
Selection Sunday is on March 13.
