Kansas Guard Ochai Agbaji on Wooden Award Final Ballot

Kansas guard Ochai Agbaji and is the only Big 12 players named to the Wooden Award Final Ballot, which was released earlier this week.
There are just 15 players on the ballot.
Agbaji is the Heartland College Sports Big 12 Player of the Year, and he was also selected Player of the Year by both the Big 12’s coaches and the Associated Press.
By the end of the regular season, Agbaji averaged 20.2 points, 5.2 rebounds, 1.7 assists and nearly one steal per game. He shot 48.7 percent from the field and 42.2 percent from the 3-point line. He had also passed several players on the all-time scoring list at KU, including Wilt Chamberlain.
Agbaji and the Jayhawks are the No. 1 seed in the Big 12 Tournament, which starts on Wednesday in Kansas City. The Jayhawks are the only team waiting for their opponent, as they will play the winner of the West Virginia-Kansas State game set for Wednesday night.
Kansas is out to win its first Big 12 Tournament since 2018. Iowa State won the title in 2019, there was no Big 12 Tournament in 2020 due to COVID-19 and Texas won the Big 12 Tournament in 2021. The Longhorns are a No. 4 seed this time around.
