The Texas Longhorns have beefed up their 2023 recruiting class with four-star defensive lineman Dylan Spencer.
Spencer made the announcement on social media on Tuesday afternoon.
According to the 247Sports composite, Spencer is a four-star prospect who ranks as the No. 25 defensive lineman in the nation, No. 31 player in Texas and a Top 200 player in the nation.
He plays his high school football at C.E. King High in Houston, Texas.
In other Texas recruiting news on Tuesday, it was reported that Arch Manning is set to head back and visit the Longhorns the weekend of March 24th.
It is a six-horse race for Manning at this point in time, with Alabama, Florida, LSU, Georgia and Ole Miss in the running with the Longhorns.
Texas currently has the No. 25 ranked class in the nation for the 2023 class, however they only have two commitments so that number will absolutely jump as time goes on. And if they land Arch Manning, the No. 1 prospect in the nation in next year’s class, then they’ll significantly jump, as head coach Steve Sarkisian tries to move the narrative ahead after a disappointing 5-7 first season in Austin.
