With just around three weeks until the College World Series is set to take place in Omaha, Nebraska, oddsmakers are releasing updated College World Series Odds with a few Big 12 teams near the top of the list.
Tennessee, the overwhelming favorite at 5/2 is well ahead of the rest of the field at the moment, but teams like Oregon State (15/2) and Arkansas (14/1) are also considered teams to watch. Then, tied for the third best odds in the country, are the Oklahoma State Cowboys at 14/1.
OSU got off to a rough start in the Big 12 tournament yesterday, losing 4-0 to Texas and bumping them into the loser’s bracket. Still yet, the Cowboys are a team to watch in June.
Speaking of the Longhorns, they are listed alongside Miami and Big 12 foe Texas Tech at 22/1 odds, seventh best in the country. Texas was impressive yesterday behind Pete Hansen’s 12 K’s and looks like a team that has turned the corner.
Texas Tech on the other hand let Kansas State hang around, but managed to still win 5-3, after dropping a chance at the Big 12 regular season crown with a loss to Oklahoma.
TCU, the Big 12 regular season champions and No. 1 seed in the conference tournament, comes in at 40/1 odds and is the last of four Big 12 teams listed on the board.
