The transfer portal continues to be a friend of the Texas Longhorns. UT picked up FCS All-American linebacker Diamonte Tucker-Dorsey on Friday.
Tucker-Dorsey comes to Austin from James Madison and made the announcement on Twitter.
He picked Texas over future Big 12 school UCF.
Tucker-Dorsey is from Norfolk, Va. and was originally a member of the class of 2017. Las season, he racked up 116 tackles with 9.0 tackles for loss and 2.5 sacks. He was an FCS All-American during JMU’s 12-2 season that ended in the FCS semifinals versus North Dakota State.
The veteran played in 50 games for the Dukes with over 200 career tackles.
Tucker-Dorsey helped the Dukes win three Colonial Athletic Association titles during his time with the program.
Texas has brought in several transfers this offseason, highlighted by five-star quarterback Quinn Ewers. Others include WR Isaiah Neyor, TE Jahleel Billingsley, WR Agiye Hall, CB Ryan Watts and most recently Iowa State wide receiver Tarique Milton.
