Baylor Lands 2023 Three-Star LB Corey Kelly

The Baylor Bears added their second commitment of the week as 2023 linebacker Corey Kelly pledged to Dave Aranda’s squad on Tuesday evening.
Kelly chose the Bears over a host of other Division-I offers, including Missouri, Mississippi State, Texas Tech, Houston, Utah, and Minnesota among others.
A native of League City, TX, Kelly is listed as a top 100 player in the state of Texas and the No. 51 linebacker in the Class of 2023. Over the last two seasons at Clear Falls High School, Kelly has recorded 166 tackles, 23 tackles for loss, five sacks, 11 PBUs, and one forced fumble and fumble recovery a piece.
At 6-3, 210-pounds, Kelly exhibits a great frame coming out of high school and will certainly put on some weight during his time in Waco if he is to continue playing linebacker at the next level.
The Tuesday evening commitment gives Baylor 13 commitments for the 2023 class, which ranks 12th nationally and second in the Big 12 behind Texas Tech (2nd nationally).
Kelly is currently ranked as the fourth-highest player in Baylor’s recruiting class, just behind LB Christian Brathwaite, TE Matthew Klopfenstein, and QB Austin Novosad.
