Arch Manning’s Tight End Will Randle Commits to Texas

NCAA Football: Texas at Texas Tech

As the recruiting battle is heating up over coveted five-star prospect Arch Manning, news has broke that his high school teammate Will Randle is heading to the Longhorns. This commitment comes after the tight end took a visit to Austin yesterday.

Randle is a three-star recruit out of New Orleans Isidore Newman, who is listed at 6’3, 220 pounds. He had been offered by LSU, Alabama, Florida State, Miami, and Purdue before choosing Texas. According to 247Sports, Randle is ranked as the 34th tight end and 670th prospect in the country, and 25th player in Louisiana out of the 2023 class.

Does this commitment foreshadow what is to come in Manning’s decision? Texas fans can only hope as they wait with their fingers crossed hoping to land the quarterback.

Manning has taken three official visits, with one being Texas this weekend and the other two being Georgia and Alabama.

Randle is the Longhorns’ seventh commit in the class of 2023, which is ranked 23rd overall, and the second tight end in the class. Texas has tight ends coach Jeff Banks and New Orleans native Terry Joseph to thank for the landing of the three-star tight end.

Texas has started to add some depth and weapons to their offense and look to continue that momentum into Manning’s announcement.
