West Virginia Lands 2022 Three-Star TE Will Dixon

NCAA Football: Kansas State at West Virginia

The West Virginia Mountaineers kept rolling on the recruiting trail on Thursday as they picked up a commitment from three-star tight end Will Dixon.

The 6-5, 230 pound tight end from Blair Academy in Hillsborough, New Jersey, picked the Mountaineers over several other schools such as Appalachian State, Coastal Carolina, Temple, and Marshall.

Dixon was originally a member of the 2023 class but, according to Chris Anderson of 247Sports, he will reclassify to become part of the 2022 class and will enroll in Morgantown next week.

Dixon took an official visit to West Virginia this week and also participated in WVU’s camp last month before committing to the Mountaineers on Twitter Thursday.

The addition of Dixon to the 2022 class for West Virginia brings them to 21 players, and the class ranks No. 42 in the nation.

WVU experienced a ton of attrition to its roster after the 2021 season, so adding as much as they can to the roster ahead of the 2022 football season.

The Mountaineers currently have the No. 16 class in the nation and thirds in the Big 12 for the class of 2023.
