Oklahoma Lands 2023 Four-Star OL Heath Ozaeta

The Oklahoma Sooners have started off the week with a bang as they’ve added a commitment from three-star offensive lineman Heath Ozaeta on Monday.

The 6-6, 296 pound offensive tackle from Snoqualmie, Washington chose the Sooners over 18 other Division-I offers, including Arizona State, BYU, Cincinnati, Colorado, Nebraska, Stanford, UCLA, and Utah among others.

According to On3Sports, the Mount Si High School senior is listed as the No. 4 player in the state of Washington and the No. 22 offensive tackle in the country for the class of 2023.

For Ozaeta, heading to the Panhandle State is more than just a trip halfway across the country, its a trip back home.

“Oklahoma is a place where I can develop as a player and be the best version of my self,” Ozaeta told 247Sports. “I was also born there and have family that lives down there.”

“I’ve always been interested in OU, but when we were there and got to meet all the coaches and see around the facility and campus, I think I knew then that that’s where I want to go.”

The Sooners now have eight commitments in the 2023 class, which sits at 37th nationally with a big July looming on the horizon.
