Kansas Women Release 2022-23 Non-Conference Basketball Schedule

The Kansas women’s basketball team will face Arizona in its biggest non-conference game of the 2022-23 schedule, which was released on Wednesday.
The Jayhawks will play Arizona at the McKale Center in Tucson, Ariz., on Dec. 8. It could be a potential matchup of future Big 12 rivals, if talks between the Big 12 and four Pac-12 schools — one of which is Arizona — comes to fruition.
Kansas and Arizona have played each other six times and have tied their all-time series with three wins each.
Kansas will start the season with three home games — Jacksonville on Nov. 9, UT-Arlington on Nov. 16 and UT-Rio Grande Valley on Nov. 20.
For Thanksgiving week the Jayhawks will be at the Saint Mary’s Thanksgiving Classic in Moraga, Calif., on Nov. 25-26. Matchups will be announced later.
In December, the Jayhawks host Texas A&M in the Big 12-SEC Challenge on Dec. 1, followed be a home game with Southeast Missouri State on Dec. 4.
After the road trip to Arizona, Kansas returns home to face Wichita State on Dec. 11 and Tulsa on Dec. 17.
Kansas wraps up the non-conference slate on Dec. 21 with a trip to Nebraska.
The Big 12 schedule will be announced later this year.
Head coach Brandon Schneider led the Jayhawks to a 20-win season, an NCAA Tournament berth for the first time since 2013 and a first-round NCAA Tournament victory over Georgia Tech. The Stanford Cardinal eliminated the Jayhawks in the second round. Kansas boasts one of the most experienced returning rosters in the Big 12.
