Kansas State Men’s Basketball Releases Non-Conference Schedule

The Kansas State Men’s basketball team will play nine non-conference home games during its 2022-23 schedule, which was released on Monday.
The Wildcats enter their first season under new head coach Jerome Tang, the former Baylor associate head coach who was hired to replace Bruce Weber in April.
The Wildcats’ most notable home game is its Jan. 28 Big 12-SEC Challenge game against Florida, which will be the Wildcats’ only respite from the Big 12 schedule.
Meanwhile, the most notable road trip is Kansas State’s trip to the Cayman Island Classic in the Cayman Islands from Nov. 21-23. The field includes Akron, Illinois State, LSU, Nevada, Rhode Island, Tulane and Western Kentucky. Kansas State will face Rhode Island on Nov. 21 and either Nevada or Tulane on Nov. 22. Their opponent on Nov. 23 will be determine the second-day results.
Kansas State opens the season at home on Nov. 7 hosting UT-Rio Grande Valley. The Wildcats then head west for a road test against California on Nov. 11.
The Wildcats then get in two more home games on Nov. 14 against Arkansas-Pine Bluff and on Nov. 17 against Kansas City before the trip to the Caymans.
Kansas State ends November with a trip to historic Hinkle Fieldhouse in Indianapolis to take on Butler in the Big 12-BIG EAST Battle.
The Wildcats don’t leave the state in December. Kansas State has a three-game homestand — Dec. 3 against Wichita State, Dec. 6 against Abilene Christian and Dec. 11 against Incarnate Word. On Dec. 17, the Wildcats face Nebraska at the T-Mobile Center in Kansas City in the Wildcat Classic. Kansas State then wraps up December by hosting Radford on Dec. 21.
The Big 12 schedule will be announced later this year.
