Kansas State Lands One of its Best Basketball Recruits Ever in Four-Star Guard Dai Dai Ames

Jerome Tang has made a huge splash for his first commitment in the 2023 cycle as four-star guard Dai Dai Ames has committed to the Kansas State Wildcats.
The news first came from Ryan Gilbert of GoPowercat.
According to the 247Sports composite, Ames is ranked as the No. 51 player in the country, the No. 8 point guard in the country and the No. 1 player in Illinois. Ames picked Kansas State over Illinois, Maryland and others.
Ames told GoPowercat, “I chose Kansas State because the coaches were honest with me and I believe they are going to get me ready for the next level and I feel like I’m going to grow to love the school and that the school will grow to love me.”
As Gilbert notes above, Ames is the sixth-highest ranked recruit to commit to K-State in the 247Sports era. That’s quite a splash by Tang.
While it’s very early, K-State’s addition of Ames gives them the No. 4-ranked class in the Big 12 for the 2023 cycle.
