Iowa State Lands 2023 Five-Star PF Omaha Biliew

NCAA Basketball: Iowa State at Baylor

T.J. Otzelberger and the Iowa State basketball program are throwing a party in Ames, Iowa as the Cyclones have landed a commitment from five-star power forward Omaha Biliew out of Waukee, Iowa.

Biliew, listed at 6-8, 210-pounds, is set for his senior year at Waukee High School and is one of the most sought-after basketball recruits in the Midwest. He is ranked as the No. 12 player in the 2023 class, the No. 5 PF in the class and the No. 1 player in the state of Iowa.

Rated as a five-star PF by 247Sports, Biliew received a 247Sports Composite Score of 0.9950, making him the highest-rated recruit that the Iowa State Cyclones have ever landed.

Biliew held offers from several programs but whittled his choices down to Iowa State, Kansas, and Oregon before choosing T.J. Otzelberger and the Cyclones.

ISU already holds commitments from four-star PF Milan Momcilovic and four-star SG Jelani Hamilton and this commitment gives them a truly elite class at this point in the recruiting cycle. With Biliew’s commitment, the Cyclones 2023 class has risen all the way to No. 3 nationally, behind only Duke and Kentucky.
