Oklahoma Lands 2023 Four-Star DL Derrick LeBlanc

The Oklahoma Sooners remain one of the hottest teams in the country on the recruiting trail over the last month as they gained a commitment from 2023 four-star defensive lineman Derrick LeBlanc.
LeBlanc, who is set to play his senior year at Osceola High School in Kissimmee, Florida, is ranked as the No. 9 defensive lineman in the 2023 and the No. 64 overall player in the country according to 247Sports.
LeBlanc held 42 offers from Division-I programs, including Alabama, Clemson, Florida, Georgia, LSU, Notre Dame, Ohio State, Oregon, Tennessee, Texas, Texas A&M, and USC. In the end, LeBlanc’s relationship with Todd Bates led the talented DL to choose Oklahoma.
With LeBlanc’s commitment, Oklahoma is now sitting at the No. 6 recruiting class for the 2023 cycle and still has several pieces that they are major player for.
There are 247Sports Crystal Balls in favor of the Sooners for four-star EDGE Tausili Akana, four-star ATH Jacobe Johnson, and four-star S Makari Vickers. Landing only those three players would put Oklahoma at No. 3 in the nation, just 0.28 points behind Notre Dame for No. 2.
Remember a month ago when Texas was burning up the recruiting trail and it looked like they might leave Oklahoma in the dust? Well, the Sooners are now just two spots behind the Longhorns and look poised to make a run at a top five class in Brent Venables first year.
