Five Big 12 Players on College Football America Dream Team

Five Big 12 players were named to the Starting Lineup of the 2022 College Football America Yearbook Preseason FBS Dream Team, released this week.
The FBS Dream Team is the publication’s equivalent of a preseason All-America Team.
The five Big 12 players to make the Starting Lineup, or First Team, were Texas running back Bijan Robinson, Kansas State running back Deuce Vaughn, Baylor offensive lineman Connor Galvin, Kansas State defensive end Felix Anudike-Uzomah and Iowa State defensive end Will McDonald IV.
Robinson is coming off a 2021 season in which he led the Longhorns with 1,127 yards rushing and 11 touchdowns. He also added 26 receptions for 295 yards and four touchdowns. He’s expected to be a Heisman candidate in 2022.
Vaughn is perhaps the most versatile player in the league. He led Kansas State with 1,404 yards rushing with 18 touchdowns and caught another 49 passes with 468 yards and four touchdowns. His reception total led the team.
Galvin was selected the Big 12 Offensive Lineman of the Year for the Big 12 champions, as the Bears beat Oklahoma State in the Big 12 title game and then beat Ole Miss in the Sugar Bowl.
Anudike-Uzomah and McDonald were the co-Big 12 Defensive Linemen of the Year in 2021. Anudike-Uzomah had 11 sacks last season, while McDonald IV had 11 1/2 sacks.
The College Football America Yearbook Dream Team is the publication’s version of a major college All-America Team with a twist. Instead of picking a first team, second team and/or third team, the team is presented in the context of an actual Football Bowl Subdivision program. FBS teams are limited to 85 scholarships, and the College Football America Yearbook Dream Team is subject to these same constraints.
