Baylor Men Release Non-Conference Basketball Schedule

NCAA Basketball: NCAA Tournament Second Round-North Carolina vs Baylor

The Baylor Bears’ men’s basketball team released its complete non-conference schedule on Tuesday as it tips off its season on Nov. 7 at home against Mississippi Valley State.

That game with the Delta Devils will be one of the earliest tips of the first day of the regular season, with the Bears starting at 11 a.m.

Many of the games on the non-conference games had been previously reported. That includes the Bears’ huge neutral site game with Gonzaga in Sioux Falls, S.D., on Dec. 2.

The Bears beat Gonzaga to win the 2021 national championship. The Bears fell to North Carolina in the second round of last season’s NCAA Tournament.

The Bears host their first three games — against MVSU, against Norfolk State on Nov. 11 and against Northern Colorado on Nov. 14. After that, the Bears travel to Las Vegas, Nev., for the Continental Tire Main Event at T-Mobile Arena in Las Vegas. The Bears will face Virginia on Nov. 18, and then either Illinois or UCLA two nights later.

The Bears wrap up their pre-Thanksgiving slate with a home game against McNeese State on Nov. 23.

After Thanksgiving, the Bears play their only true road game when they go to Marquette for the Big 12-BIG EAST Battle game.

After the Gonzaga game on Dec. 2, the Bears host Tarleton on Dec. 6. After that, the Bears go to the American Airlines Center in Dallas for the Pac-12 Challenge, where the Bears face Washington State.

Baylor has two more games at home in December, against Alcorn State on Dec. 20 and Nicholls State on Dec. 28. The Bears wrap up their non-conference slate by hosting Arkansas in the Big 12-SEC Challenge on Jan. 28.
