Bijan Robinson, Deuce Vaughn Lead Big 12 Players as Preseason AP All-Americans
The 2022 AP Preseason All-American Team was released on Monday, featuring six players from the Big 12 Conference, including two first-team selections.
Texas running back Bijan Robinson was listed as a first-team selection at running back alongside Ohio State’s TreVeyon Henderson. The junior RB out of Tucson, Arizona is set to have a massive year for the Longhorns before heading to the next level. Kansas State running back Deuce Vaughn is listed as the First-Team All-Purpose Player, an honor that he held following the 2021 season.
The third First-Team selection out of the Big 12 is Will McDonald IV, the polarizing defensive end out of Iowa State. McDonald is just four sacks behind Von Miller (Texas A&M; 2007-10) as the all-time Big 12 sack leader and should easily eclipse Miller’s 33 career sacks this upcoming season.
