Look: Colt McCoy Pays Up on Bet After Texas’ Loss to Texas Tech

NCAA Football: Texas at Texas Tech

This past weekend, the Texas Longhorns went into Lubbock and lost for the first time since 2008, when Colt McCoy and the Longhorns were ranked No. 1 in the nation but were upset by the No. 5 Red Raiders after Michael Crabtree’s unforgettable catch-and-run for a walk-off win.

Now, 14 years later, McCoy is paying for the most recent loss, although I’m sure this one hurts much worse. A backup quarterback for the Arizona Cardinals, Colt McCoy now plays for former Texas Tech head coach Kliff Kingsbury and share a locker room with former Red Raider WR Atione Wesley.

Apparently, McCoy lost some sort of bet, because on Tuesday he showed up to the Cardinals’ facility dressed completely in Red Raiders’ gear.

Check it out.

He doesn’t seem too happy about his new look, and I’m sure that his attire didn’t remain long after the photo op was over. However, give the guy credit, he paid up and that’s what counts.

Now, McCoy and the rest of Longhorn Nation hope that UT can get things back on track against West Virginia this week, while Texas Tech hopes to keep the good times rolling against Kansas State in Manhattan.
