The University of Kansas has announced the location at which the ESPN College Gameday crew will set up ahead of Saturday’s game against TCU.
Kansas Football has designated “The Hill” as the area where Gameday will be permitted to set up shop for Saturday.
This Saturday will be College Gameday’s first-ever visit to Lawrence in the show’s 29-year history of traveling from campus to campus to preview each week’s biggest matchups. Kansas is one of eight Power Five programs that has never hosted ESPN’s premiere college football program, joining Duke, Maryland, Rutgers, Virginia, Cal, Illinois, and Syracuse.
Kansas is ranked No. 19 in the country after starting the 2022 season 5-0 (2-0) and will take on No. 17 TCU, who is off to an impressive 4-0 (1-0) start itself.
Last week, KU needed a little Jayhawk Magic to take down Iowa State in regulation, as Iowa State freshman kicker Jace Gilbert missed a 37-yard field goal with 27 seconds left in the game, making the final score 14-11 in the Jayhawks’ favor.
TCU on the other hand needed no magic to take down Oklahoma, as the Horned Frogs’ offense over, around, and through the Sooners’ defense to a 55-24 victory.
TCU is currently favored by seven points over Kansas at home, but the Jayhawks are a perfect 5-0 ATS this season. Something’s gotta give on Saturday, and it should be one heck of a game to tune in for at 11:00 a.m. on FS1.
