Jason Bean to Start at QB vs. Oklahoma State: Report

NCAA Football: South Dakota at Kansas

As the Kansas Jayhawks get set to take on the Oklahoma State Cowboys on Saturday, it’s expected that Jason Bean will make his third consecutive start at quarterback, but that Jalon Daniels may end up playing, depending on how he feels in warm ups, according to Action Network’s Brett McMurphy.

Daniels has been out since suffering an injury against TCU on November 8th.

While Bean has quarterbacked Kansas during its three-game losing streak against TCU, Oklahoma and Baylor, he has performed well. On the season he is completing 62.5% of his passes with nine touchdowns to three interceptions while throwing for 783 yards and rushing for 119 yards.

The Jayhawks are 5-3 on the season. Following a 5-0 start, they have lost three in a row. KU is coming off a bye week and taking on an Oklahoma State team that was blown out by Kansas State last week 48-0.

KU is looking to become bowl eligible for the first time since 2008. Oklahoma State has won 17 of the last 18 games in this series, excluding the 2007 meeting in which Kansas won 43-28 in Stillwater.

Kansas vs. Oklahoma State kicks off at 2:30 pm CST on FOX Sports 1. Oklahoma State won last year’s meeting 55-3 in Stillwater.
