Week 10 of the college football season is in the books and now its on to Week 11. There were five games this week, with TCU beating Texas Tech 34-24, Baylor getting by Oklahoma 38-35, Iowa State over West Virginia 31-14, Kansas rolling Oklahoma State 37-16 and Texas getting by Kansas State 34-27.
The Big 12 has been one of the most unpredictable conferences in America and is as deep as any conference, and that is, once again, displayed in the opening lines for Week 11 of the season from BetOnline.ag.
Week 11 Big 12 Football Opening Lines
Kansas State +3.5 at Baylor
Kansas +4.5 at Texas Tech
Iowa State -1.5 at Oklahoma State
Oklahoma -7 at West Virginia
TCU +6.5 at Texas
So, if I told you 2-3 weeks ago that Oklahoma State would be a home underdog to Iowa State, what would you have said? That’s how unpredictable the Big 12 Conference has been this season. Just crazy.
Meantime, Baylor is rising quickly as a three-point favorite against Kansas State at home in a battle between two teams hoping to still make a Big 12 Championship Game. Oh, and TCU, as an undefeated Top 5 team is a nearly-touchdown underdog vs. Texas? That feels too high, not because of rankings, but because of how TCU’s style and game matches up well with Texas’.
But we will see. As I always say, Vegas wasn’t built on winners. However, last week our Big 12 picks went 3-2 against the spread and we are 12-5 against the spread the last four weeks.
