Baylor Men’s Basketball Starts Assembling 2023 Recruiting Class

The Baylor Bears men’s basketball team began assembling talent for its 2023-24 team as the NCAA’s early-signing period opened on Wednesday.
The Bears, led by coach Scott Drew, have become one of the best recruiting programs in the country as they’ve grown into a program that won its first national championship in 2021 and has won or shared the last two Big 12 regular-season crowns. The Bears reached the second round of the 2022 NCAA Tournament, losing to eventual national finalist North Carolina.
Before the signing period, the Bears had two commitments, including one from shooting guard Ja’Kobe Walter, who plays at Link Academy in Branson, Mo. Walter is rated by 247Sports.com as a Top 20 player in the country. In fact, the Bears have pulled a Top 20 player nationally in each of their previous two recruiting classes — guard Langston Love in 2021 and guard Keyonte George in 2022. Both are on Baylor’s roster this season.
Baylor announced Walter’s signing on Wednesday afternoon. Baylor also announced the signing of guard Miro Little.
