Texas Tech Men’s Basketball Starts Assembling 2023 Recruiting Class

The Texas Tech Red Raiders men’s basketball team began assembling talent for its 2023-24 team as the NCAA’s early-signing period opened on Wednesday.

The Red Raiders, led by coach Mark Adams, is coming off a 2021-22 in which it reached the NCAA Tournament and the Sweet 16, as Adams made his debut as Red Raiders coach after serving under former Texas Tech coach Chris Beard.

 

The Red Raiders lost to Duke in the Sweet 16, but Adams has another strong team, despite significant turnover and one big injury to transfer center Fardaws Aimaq.

Before the signing period, the Red Raiders had two commitments, both of which were outside the 247Sports.com Top 100. Guards Jason Jackson and Drew Steffe were the commitments. The Red Raiders announced Steffe’s signing on Wednesday. The Red Raiders announced Jackson’s signing on Tuesday.

Texas Tech’s 2023 recruiting class is below. Players who confirmed as signed are noted below. The list below also includes the Red Raiders’ season-opening roster.

The early-signing window closes on Nov. 16.
