Week 12 of the college football season is in the books and now its on to Week 13. There were five games this week, with TCU beating Baylor 29-28, Kansas State rolling West Virginia 48-31, Texas crushing Kansas 55-14, Texas Tech beating Iowa State 14-10 and Oklahoma holding off Oklahoma State 28-13.
The Big 12 has been one of the most unpredictable conferences in America and is as deep as any conference, and that is, once again, displayed in the opening lines for Week 13 of the season from BetOnline.ag.
Week 12 Big 12 Football Opening Lines
Baylor +7.5 at Texas (Friday)
Iowa State +10.5 at TCU
Oklahoma -1 at Texas Tech
West Virginia +8 at Oklahoma State
Kansas +11.5 at Kansas State
Well, by Big 12 standards, having three of five games with spreads of at least eight points, with two in the double digits, has been unheard of for most of the season. But heading into the last week of the regular season, it’s always unpredictable. Who’s still motivated? Who’s checked out? It’s hard to tell, unless you’re in the locker room.
But at first glance, TCU is getting a lot of love against an Iowa State team that is going to be loose with nothing to lose and no bowl game on the horizon against a TCU team that needs to win two more games and reach the College Football Playoff.
Also, K-State is well-deserving of a lot of love, but that’s also a big number in a rivalry game, as Kansas might be playing to knock K-State out of the Big 12 title game (if Texas beats Baylor on Friday).
Regardless, it will be a great final weekend of Big 12 football and our picks against the spread will be posted later this week.
