The Oklahoma State Cowboys continue their streak of departures with Senior safety Thomas Harper entering the transfer portal. This report comes via the Athletic, Harper announced he will be entering the portal as a Senior-Grad transfer.
You can see the Tweet Below.
Harper started seven games for the Cowboys in 2022 and notched 30 total tackles, one interception, and two passes defended. The Tennessee native leaves behind a thin DB group at OSU with the departure of his running mate, Kanion Williams. The duo both decided to leave Oklahoma State behind and look for greener pastures.
Harper’s entrance into the portal was just a part of a bigger issue for Oklahoma State, as a sudden mass exodus has left the Cowboys in quite a predicament heading into 2023. Spencer Sanders, Dominic Richardson, Trace Ford, and Mason Cobb have all been significant contributors for OSU, but are now in the portal.
The transfer portal has introduced athletes with an entirely new avenue with which to find opportunities but has also created major chaos within the sport.
