TCU has beefed of its secondary for the 2023 football season, as the Horned Frogs have added Trinity Valley C.C. cornerback Channing Canada from the junior college ranks.
Canada made his announcement on Twitter on Thursday afternoon, two days after he wrapped up an official visit in Fort Worth.
Canada is 6-foot, 185-pounds, and becomes the 22nd commitment for the Frogs’ 2023 recruiting class and the first JUCO player in the class.
Canada became one of the most coveted JUCO prospects in the nation and received over 40 offers. Canada chose TCU over Kansas, West Virginia, Oklahoma State, Washington, Arizona State, Mississippi State, Auburn, and others.
Canada is ranked as the No. 5 overall JUCO player in the nation and No. 1 cornerback in the nation according to the 247Sports composite rankings.
