TCU AD Jeremiah Donati Calls Out Darren Rovell

The TCU Horned Frogs are making school history by playing in their first-ever national championship game in school history.

On Monday, the Frogs will take on the Georgia Bulldogs to determine who will be crowned the King of College Football in 2023.

Last week, TCU fans flooded State Farm Stadium to see the Frogs take down Michigan 51-45 to reach the College Football Playoff National Championship. Now, Horned Frog Nation will need to travel just a bit further west to see this game, but there were claims that the fans weren’t doing their part.

Darren Rovell, a reporter for Action Network, claimed on New Years’ Eve that TCU hadn’t sold its allotment of the National Championship game. However, on Thursday, TCU athletic director Jeremiah Donati set the record straight.

I’m glad that Donati set the record straight here, because I have a feeling that there will be a lot of purple in LA next week.

TCU fans showed up in droves last weekend in Arizona, and I expect them to do the same on Monday in Los Angeles. Georgia certainly will, as I witnessed them outnumber Oklahoma fans 70/30 in the 2018 Rose Bowl, despite having to travel completely across the country to do so.

If you haven’t yet, make sure to check out our preview of the game here.
