The five-star recruit joins a competitive quarterback room led by former five-star quarterback, Quinn Ewers. The Longhorns look to have some significant position battles with Ewers and Manning following the departure of senior quarterback Hudson Card to the transfer portal.
In Manning’s time at Isidore Newman High School, he threw for 6,307 yards, 81 touchdowns, and 17 interceptions. He also added 792 rushing yards along with 19 scores on the ground in his high school career. Head coach Steve Sarkesian says both quarterbacks are excited to get started and welcome the competition.
Texas looks to bounce back in the 2023-2024 season following an underwhelming 7-4 finish to the 2022 season. Whether it’s Quinn Ewers or Arch Manning under center, this squad looks to be a significant factor in conference play.
