Watch: Kansas State Security Practicing Ahead of Kansas Game

NCAA Basketball: Kansas State at Saint Louis

The Sunflower Showdown takes place on the hardwood next Tuesday as Kansas State hosts Kansas in Manhattan. Both teams are undefeated in Big 12 play and ranked in the Top 15 in the country.

Needless, to say, Bramlage Coliseum is going to be wild on Tuesday night. And if the Cats win, watch out.

So on Wednesday, it should not have been a surprise for a video to go viral showing the Kansas State security folks preparing for a post-game security scene where they have to prevent students and fans from a potential court storming.

Take a look at the video below.

To be clear, this training is not unusual for security members leading up to a game. But obviously, with all the hype surrounding this match up, there will be extra attention on what the crowd atmosphere might be like.

Kansas State and Kansas are both 15-1 overall. While Kansas is not in an unexpected position, Kansas State’s start has stunned the college basketball world this season in Jerome Tang’s first year of what was perceived to be a rebuild.

Both teams have Top 20 match ups on Saturday before they meet next Tuesday. Kansas State takes on TCU, while Kansas plays Iowa State.
