Watch: K-State Basketball Fans Held a Drinking Contest During the Game

NCAA Basketball: Kansas State at Saint Louis

The Jerome Tang era has been a wild fever-frenzy for K-State fans and with the spike in attendance this season, stadium entertainment has started getting wild.

During Saturday’s home game with Texas tech which the Wildcats took handled 68-58, fans could be seen chugging drinks on the jumbotron during one of the media timeouts.

It may sound outlandish at first but just wait until you see what the students were drinking… Tang.

Jerome Tang mania is in full swing in Manhattan and after the best start to a season in over 60 years of basketball, the Wildcats are in the driver’s seat. K-State takes on Iowa State on Tuesday in what starts the toughest portion of its schedule this year.

The Wildcats play on the road in Ames against the 13th-ranked Iowa State Cyclones and follow it up with a major game for Keyontae Johnson suiting up against his former team, the Florida Gators, in the Big 12-SEC Challenge. From that point, the road ahead doesn’t get any easier playing the second-ranked Kansas Jayhawks, then taking on No. 7 Texas, and 14th-ranked TCU in back-to-back home games.

The K-State basketball culture is starting to change into one of the bright, budding programs in the nation, all in Jerome Tang’s first year. The Wildcats currently sit in first place in the Big 12 and a tough schedule ahead, they will be tested.
