Oklahoma State Lands 2024 In-State EDGE Will Smith

The Oklahoma State Cowboys have landed their fourth recruit from the 2024 cycle with defensive end Will Smith.

Will Smith is a 6-foot-4, 210-pound pass rusher from Choctaw, Oklahoma, and announced his commitment to Oklahoma State on Thursday via Twitter.

Smith chose the Cowboys over Iowa State, Texas State and Troy.

The Oklahoma native recorded a boatload of stats in his junior season. Smith totaled 34 tackles, eight tackles for loss, seven sacks, four forced fumbles, and two pass breakups last season at Choctaw high school.

Smith also was productive on the offensive side of the ball catching 21 passes for 445 yards and four scores. Smith’s stellar play on both sides of the ball helped Choctaw high school to go 11-2 and advance to the 6A-II state title game.

Smith is unranked at the moment but it’s still pretty early in the 2024 cycle. On3 has the defensive end listed as a three-star prospect and as the No. 4 player in the state. As the senior season comes around for Smith it’s hard to imagine the Choctaw product not receiving any more offers from rival teams. Smith marks the fourth signing in the 2024 class joining running back Rodney Fields, Safety Willie Nelson, and tight end Josh Ford.
