Iowa State Guard Caleb Grill Inactive vs K-State

NCAA Basketball: Texas Tech at Iowa State

The Iowa State Cyclones have struggled on the road this year and unfortunately for Cyclone fans, the task will get tougher without senior guard Caleb Grill.

The Iowa State guard has been dealing with some back issues this season and it has kept the Grill off the court for extended periods of time, and now he’s set to miss Saturday’s big match up against Kansas State, according to Nick Osen.

While K-State has lost a few games as of late, the Cyclones will have a tough task as K-State is 13-1 when they’ve played at home this season. The Wildcats have lost four of their last five games, so Iowa State is catching KSU at the right time, however only one of those losses have been in front of the home crowd in Manhattan.

In their last meeting, the Cyclones took down the Wildcats 80-76 back in January in a game that cemented Iowa State as a Big 12 contender. Since then, both Iowa State and K-State have slid down the standings and the Cyclones are one game back of the three-way tie for first place in the league, while K-State is two games behind the league leaders.

The Wildcats and Cyclones tip off in Manhattan at 1:00 CST in a sold-out Bramlage Coliseum.
