Joe Lunardi Moves Texas Tech Up to Next Four Out

NCAA Basketball: Texas Tech at West Virginia

Texas Tech has put together three straight wins in the Big 12 Conference and are doing everything they can to find their way into the 2023 NCAA Tournament.

Mark Adams group is fresh off of a 78-72 comeback win against the West Virginia Mountaineers in which the Red Raiders gained enough momentum to last a lifetime.

ESPN’s Joe Lunardi upgraded the Red Raiders to the next four out following the win over the Mountaineers and with four games left, Texas Tech still has a sizeable change to slip into the tournament.

Texas Tech’s path to March Madness isn’t going to be easy however, the Red Raiders final four games of the season feature Oklahoma, 24th-ranked TCU, third-ranked Kansas, and the surging Oklahoma State Cowboys.

If Mark Adams and the Texas Tech Red Raiders aim to slide into a low seed in the 2023 NCAA Tournament I believe that the club will have to win at least three of their remaining four games of the season. Joe Lunardi has kept a close eye on Big 12 teams this season and I expect that trend to continue. If the Red Raiders do end up receiving an invite they would become the eighth Big 12 Conference member in the tournament.

The Red Raiders take on the Oklahoma Sooners on Tuesday, February 21st in Norman at 8:00 PM CST.
