Spencer Sanders Signs NIL Deal With The Grove Collective

Former Oklahoma State and now-Ole Miss quarterback Spencer Sanders has landed himself a name, image and likeness deal. The Grove Collective announced Sanders as a Grove Collective Ambassador and Marketing Representative in recent days.
“Introducing OSU transfer, Spencer Sanders to the Grove Collective,” the group tweeted. “Sanders has racked up many accolades since his 2019 Big 12 Offensive Freshman of the Year honor, including First Team All-BIG 12 and PlayStation Fiesta Bowl Offensive MVP. Welcome to the GC!”
Sanders, who elected to leave Stillwater this offseason, concluded his Cowboys career having thrown for more than 9,500 yards and 67 touchdowns to 40 interceptions. That included a career-best 2,839 yards and 20 touchdowns during the 2021 season. He also rushed for 1,956 yards and 18 scores on 493 carries.
With all that, On3 has Sanders with a $240,000 valuation, which ranks in the Top 190 in college football. He’s built up a following of more than 37,000 social media followers, contributing largely to that brand.
Sanders isn’t the only quarterback on campus that’s inked a deal recently, either. Former LSU transfer Walker Howard, too, has done so with The Grove Collective.
One of those two or Jaxson Dart, a former transfer from USC in his own right, will be the starter for the Rebels when they open up the 2023 season against Mercer. The trio makes for quite a strong quarterback room after Dart was the only one in Oxford back in January.
“If he emerges as Ole Miss’ starting quarterback this fall, his valuation and social media following will only rise,” wrote On3’s Pete Nakos on Sanders.
Time will tell on that one. But for now, he’s landed an NIL deal in his new locale.
