Keyonte George Listed as Game-Time Decision For Saturday’s Game vs. Iowa State

Baylor freshman guard Keyonte George is listed as a game-time decision for Saturday’s game against Iowa State, according to CBS Sports’ Jon Rothstein.
George injured his ankle about midway through the first half against Texas last Saturday and was forced to miss Monday night’s game against Oklahoma State, which the Bears won, 74-68.
In his lone season in Waco, George is averaging 16.3 points per game, which is fifth among Division I freshmen, and has already set a Baylor record with 12 games scoring at least 20 points.
If George is unable to go, Scott Drew will have to hope that his seventh-ranked Bears can exact revenge without arguably its best player. On December 31, Baylor went into a hostile environment in Ames, and left with a 77-62 beatdown at the hands of T.J. Otzelberger’s Cyclones.
However, things have changed in a big way since then, and these teams look to be heading in different directions. Baylor has won 12 of its last 15 games, including each of the last two against No. 9 Texas and Oklahoma State.
Iowa State, on the other hand, has lost four straight and eight of their last 10 games. On Wednesday, senior guard Caleb Grill was dismissed from the team after a “failure to meet the program’s expectations.”
Tipoff is scheduled for 11:00 a.m. on Saturday morning and represents each team’s last regular season contest ahead of the Big 12 Tournament next week.
